And finally, the weight can be something like a rock or a small bag of sand.

Once you’ve got all the materials, it’s time to build the trap. Start by cutting the wire mesh into a long rectangle. Then, form the rectangle into a cylinder shape and secure the edges with wire or zip ties. Next, make a circular opening for the animals to enter. The trigger should be secured so that it’s just barely touching the inside of the opening.

Then, attach the weight to the opposite side of the trigger. This will ensure that the trap will close when the trigger is released. Finally, place the trap in a location where the animal you’re trying to catch is likely to be. Make sure to check the trap regularly to ensure that no animals have been trapped for too long.
